MY MISSION: is to glorify God, my Creator and Savior, with all of my being, in every circumstance of my life, with every resource at my disposal.

1. Love the LORD, My God, with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my strength. (Deut. 6:5)
a) Give myself to growth in knowing God through study, prayer, obedience and imitation. (Deut. 6:4-9; 2Tim. 2:15; 3:16-17)
b) Surrender myself completely to God as His purchased possession to live by faith and to do all things to His glory. (Rom. 12:1-2; 1Cor. 6:19-20; 10:31)
c) Take responsibility for my actions and reactions and so strive to live a holy life, pleasing the Lord. (Rom. 6:1,2,11-13; 1Cor. 10:13; 1John 3:1-3)

2. Love my neighbor as myself. (Lev. 19:18)
a) Love others as God has loved me, giving myself for their good and finding my joy in their joy.  (Matt.5:43-48; 1Jn.4:8-12; 1Cor.13:1-7)
b) Be faithful in my roles as a husband, father, son, pastor, friend, Christian and citizen - to be loyal and trustworthy. (Eph. 5:22-6:9; Col. 3:12-4:1; Titus 2:2-8)
c) Behave wisely in word and deed, making the most of opportunities for good, while being swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath. (Eph. 5:15-21; James 1:19-20)

3. Keep my eyes on the heavenly goal. (Col. 3:1-4; 2Cor. 5:9-11)
a) Pursue godliness with contentment regarding the things this temporary world has to offer.  (1Tim. 6:6-10; Jas 1:16-17)
b) Guard against fixing my love on this world (1John 2:15-17; James 4:4)
c) Always pursue growth in Christ and do not settle for complacency and pride (Phil. 3:7-14; Heb. 12:1-4)

SUMMARY: I try to live my life, make my decisions, set my goals, plan my time and assess my progress according to the above mission statement and unifying principles.  “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”  (1 Corinthians 10:31)
